PRP Facial in Colorado Springs

PRP Facial in Colorado Springs

Springs Aesthetics offers PRP facials for men and women in Colorado Springs, South Denver, Castle Rock, and other areas of Colorado. The PRP facial rejuvenates your skin through the development of new, healthy cells.

What is a PRP Facial?

A PRP facial is a treatment that boosts levels of elastin and collagen in your skin. The substances are abundant in young skin, but levels start to decrease in your late 20s or 30s, leaving the skin vulnerable to wrinkles and lines. Sun damage speeds up this process, which is why people who spend time outdoors without a sunscreen tend to look older much sooner than people of the same age.

How Much Does a PRP Facial Cost?

Once the treatment plan is defined during your consultation, we can provide more specific pricing information. Springs Aesthetics accepts CareCredit® and Alphaeon® for patients who are interested in financing the cost of a PRP facial.

Am I a Candidate for a PRP Facial?

PRP is a component of your own blood that we use for the PRP facial procedure, so you need not worry about allergic reactions or other unwanted side effects. The PRP facial is recommended for patients who want to delay the aging process or who have minor early signs of aging, such as fine lines.

How is a PRP Facial Performed?

The first step for a PRP facial is to extract the plasma from your blood. We take a small sample and process it in a special machine that separates the components. Next, the plasma is loaded into a syringe and injected into areas of your face where Dr. Burroughs determines extra collagen and elastin are needed.

What is Recovery Like After a PRP Facial?

The PRP facial does not require any downtime or special aftercare. If you have a PRP facial in conjunction with another of our medical spa treatments, such as Morpheus8 or microneedling, you may have some post-treatment symptoms. We can explain what to expect after your PRP facial when you come in for a consultation.

How Long Will PRP Facial Results Last?

PRP facials increase collagen and elastin in the skin, and your body will continue to break down and replenish these substances as part of aging. The length of time in between your PRP facial treatments is highly variable. Dr. Burroughs will recommend a schedule of follow-up appointments to monitor when you need another PRP facial. Some patients find that they only need PRP facials every one to two years.

For more than 20 years, Dr. John Burroughs has helped men and women in Colorado Springs, South Denver, Castle Rock and other areas of Colorado, as well as internationally, by providing exceptional care in plastic surgery and eyelid surgery. At his practice, he also offers medical spa treatments that are performed by his aestheticians. To learn more about our PRP facial, contact us today to schedule a consultation.
