How is Hair Restoration Performed?

The at-home use of the low laser hair restoration helmets is completely painless, and can help thicken current hair sizes as well as stimulate new growth. Some patients with just thin-caliber hair (no actual hair loss) have used the laser hair restoration helmets just to have thicker quality hair.

Typically, in both men and women, a 35 percent improvement of the hair is seen with the helmet use alone at about three to four months, with results improving out to six months. Do PRP Scalp Injections Hurt & Do They Work?

They work in most patients with androgenic hair loss especially if treatments are done before hair loss has become extensive.  The injections can be slightly uncomfortable but can be improved with a hand-held zimmer cooling device, Pro-Nox nitrous oxide ("laughing gas"), and topical anesthetic.  These injections, however, for most patients not very uncomfortable as the proper injection plane is less dense than the other scalp tissue allowing easy injection and spread to areas far from the actual injection sites.
