When your eyes appear amazing, the rest of you looks great because gorgeous eyes frame every woman’s face. The best way to enhance this feature is through the art of makeup, and tightlining is one of the quickest and most effective ways to achieve glamorous eyes. When done correctly, tightlining eyes can deliver instantly larger eyes in the most natural way. Think of the cosmetic technique as using invisible eyeliner. It is applied to the upper waterline (the inner rim where your eyelid meets your eye). You don’t have to be a Hollywood professional makeup artist to create this look, either. When you get the hang of it, watch out, everybody. Here comes the girl with those unforgettable eyes!
Tightlining eyes doesn’t require using a million different cosmetic items, but you want to have ready three proper beauty tools.
A waterproof eyeliner pencil in black will ensure that your handiwork doesn’t disappear as the hours go by. Waterproof makes the line stay put. A gel pencil is also good because it has long-lasting power and consistency that allows for easy gliding on the inner rim. A soft liner pencil gets the job done. You don’t want anything hard when tightlining.
Next, you want to curl your lashes with your favorite lash curler to achieve a wide-eyed look. It only takes a few seconds and really opens up the eyes.
The third essential is a great volumizing mascara to top the look. Enhancing your lashes with a few coats will make your eyes pop.
The idea of tightlining is to draw the eyeliner inside your upper lash line, on the waterline. If you have any gaps, the technique will subtly fill them in on the lash line. The goal is to create a very thin line with a natural finish.
Use your free hand to gently lift the upper lid away from the eyeball. Then, holding the pencil vertically in your other hand, trace back and forth under and in between your lashes.
That is called tightlining eyes, and when done exquisitely, your eyes will look bigger and more defined but not appear overdone. The eyeliner will not be obvious.
