Neck Liposuction in Colorado Springs

Springs Aesthetics offers neck liposuction for men and women in Colorado Springs, South Denver, Castle Rock and other areas of Colorado. Neck liposuction targets excess fat that gives your neck an aged and uneven appearance. Neck liposuction may be performed in conjunction with a neck lift.

What is Neck Liposuction?

Neck liposuction is a procedure that Dr. Burroughs recommends for removing small pockets of fat on the neck. Neck liposuction can be performed as a standalone procedure to reduce a double chin, or as part of your neck lift.  Almost in all cases, however, skin tightening should be performed to avoid worsening or causing skin sagging.  This can be done with minimally invasive (no sutures) radiofrequency (NeckTite and Morpheus) skin tightening.

How Much Does Neck Liposuction Cost?

Call our office for pricing. The price range for neck rejuvenation of neck tightening, lifting and liposuction procedures varies. Dr. Burroughs uses individualized surgical plans for each patient, so we can provide a more specific cost at the time of your consultation. If you are interested in financing your neck liposuction, we accept CareCredit® and Alphaeon®.

Am I a Candidate for Neck Liposuction?

Losing fat along your neck line is difficult, if not impossible. You may be able to see or feel excess fat on your neck, but the best way to know if neck liposuction is right for you is to meet with Dr. Burroughs for a consultation to learn about your anti-aging solutions for the neck area.

How is Neck Liposuction Performed?

Neck liposuction is significantly less invasive than surgery. Dr. Burroughs is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. For neck liposuction, he uses a technique that requires several small incisions. The incisions are used for inserting a thin, hollow tube into the fat layer and loosening/suctioning out the extra fat. The incisions are small enough to not require sutures. All incisions do cause scarring, but the scars that result from neck liposuction are very minimal and usually not seen except upon very close inspection.  Most commonly neck liposuction is done in the office operating room under just local anesthesia and oral or IV sedation.

Before and After Pictures

What Happens During Neck Liposuction Recovery?

Neck liposuction recovery can take some time. For the first few days, your neck may have some swelling, tenderness and bruising. Patients typically see a significant reduction in these symptoms after the first week, and mild swelling may persist for several weeks after the procedure. If your neck liposuction is performed as part of a neck lift, recovery will be more extensive.

How Long Will Neck Liposuction Results Last?

Neck liposuction removes fat cells from your neck and jawline, so these fat cells are considered permanently destroyed. You will, however, need to stay diligent about eating right and exercising, as you will still be vulnerable to developing new fat in the area.
