Upper eyelid lifting (blepharoplasty) can address unwanted excess skin that hangs over the eyelid margin, pushes on the eyelashes, and interferes with vision. It can help patients look less tired, angry, and old. Functionally, it can improve ones peripheral vision, which is vitally important for driving. Many patients find they can read better after an upper blepharoplasty as they aren’t getting as fatigued holding their eyebrows up to clear their vision from the overhanging skin. Other patients get improvement from frontal area headaches, and rarely patients with macular degeneration have seen some limited improvement in their vision.
This patient underwent an upper blepharoplasty and browpexy to provide a subtle elevation to her brow tissues while simultaneously undergoing the upper blepharoplasty. She has been delighted with her results. Are you tired of looking tired or angry all the time. Call for a consult with Dr. John Burroughs.
