Dr. John Burroughs of Springs Aesthetics offers Sculptra® for men and women in Colorado Springs, South Denver, Castle Rock, and other areas of Colorado. What is Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is a facial filler that contains poly-L-lactic acid that is proven to trigger the body’s collagen production, a substance that provides structure to the skin. As you age, your body loses more collagen than what can be produced, and this is how wrinkles start to form. Collagen production diminishes when you reach your 30s, and the amount that you lose each year increases.
How Much Does Sculptra® Cost?
We can discuss the cost of your Sculptra® treatment at the time of your consultation, as well as our financing options through CareCredit® and Alphaeon®.
Am I a Candidate for Sculptra®?
Sculptra® anti-aging treatments are recommended for men and women who would benefit from additional collagen to lift and tighten the skin. Dr. Burroughs determines if Sculptra® is your best option during your consultation.
How is Sculptra® Performed?
Sculptra® is a minimally invasive procedure that requires multiple injections in the treatment area. Some patients describe the sensation of a Sculptra® treatment as a slight pressure within the skin, which indicates the gel is being deposited into the tissues.
Will I See Results Right After My Sculptra® Injections?
The poly-L-lactic acid in Sculptra® is suspended in a gel. The gel may produce some minor immediate changes to the treatment area, but these changes should not be interpreted as your final results.
What is Recovery Like After Sculptra®?
Facial injections with Sculptra® does not require any downtime. You may feel tender, sore and experience some localized swelling and bruising.
How Long Does It Take to See Results From Sculptra®?
The poly-L-lactic acid goes right to work after the injections, but collagen production can take several weeks. Visible results may take up to six weeks.
How Long Will Sculptra® Results Last?
Sculptra® works by increasing the amount of collagen in your skin, and your body will continue to break down this new collagen. The longevity varies, but on average, the results last two to three years.
