Springs Aesthetics offers PRP therapy for men and women in Colorado Springs, South Denver, Castle Rock, and other areas of Colorado. PRP treatment is a treatment that introduces powerful growth factors into areas with damaged cells.
What is PRP Therapy?
PRP is platelet rich plasma. PRP therapy provides tissues with a boost of growth factors that help repair damaged cells. These growth factors can mimic almost every type of cell in the body, so they help with a range of degenerative and aging concerns.
PRP for hair loss is shown to improve new hair growth, as well as increase the survivability of the hair. Infusing the skin with growth factors during a Microneedling, Laser or Radiofrequency Resurfacing with PRP treatment may help with wrinkles and other problems.
- PRP Facelift
- Patients who have signs of aging benefit from our PRP facelift that stimulates new cell development.
- PRP for Hair
- Certain types of hair thinning and hair loss can be improved and slowed with our PRP for hair treatments.
- PRP Skin Rejuvenation
- PRP has been shown to have overall rejuvenating effects on the skin including: Improving skin texture, improving pore size, thickness, fine lines and wrinkles, increasing volume via the increased production of collagen and elastin, and by diminishing and improving the appearance of scars & acne scars. The most dramatic results to date have been the crepey skin problems in areas such as under the eyes, neck, and décolletage. It is not designed to replace cosmetic surgery as there are some cases where those procedures would be more appropriate.
- Benefits of PRP: Along with the benefit of using your own tissue therefore virtually eliminating allergies, there is the added intrigue of mobilizing your own stem cells for your benefit. Other benefits include: minimal down time, minimal risk, short recovery time, natural looking results and no general anesthesia is required.
Am I a Candidate for PRP Therapy?
The PRP facial treatments and PRP for hair loss uses components of your own blood, so PRP treatment is considered safe for patients. If you are interested in learning how PRP can help with your aesthetics concerns, we encourage you to schedule a consultation at Springs Aesthetics.
How is PRP for Skin Performed?
We take a small amount of your blood and process it in a centrifuge machine that separates the components. The PRP is loaded into a syringe and injected into the treatment area.
How is PRP for Hair Loss Performed?
The procedure for PRP hair loss treatment is performed the same way as PRP for skin, except the plasma is injected into scalp layer containing the hair follicles.
What is a Procedure Blood Boost?
PRP can “turbo” boost resurfacing results from resurfacing modalities. Morpheus is a thermal radiofrequency energy device that restructures skin tissue to tighten an area. Laser resurfacing results can also be boosted by applying PRP during the laser resurfacing. Springs Aesthetics offers Microneedling, Morpheus and Laser treatments with PRP to provide our patients with dramatic anti-aging results.
PRP may boost filler injection results as well by further boosting collagen and elastin synthesis alongside the immediate filler volume replacement. This may also improve longevity of the filler result, which research is evaluating.
Where Else is PRP Helpful?
Other areas that PRP may be helpful is for surgical healing. PRP has also been injected to help with stress urinary incontinence and dysorgasmia issues.
What is Recovery Like After the PRP Injections?
PRP therapy does not require any additional downtime or recovery. In fact, it can improve the speed of healing.
