This patient had severe upper eyelid swelling from kidney disease. This stretched his upper eyelid tissues and caused them to overhang and weigh his eyelids down. Furthermore, the heavy swollen eyelid tissue caused them to turn inward. The top photo shows the severe eyelid swelling and the downturning of the eyelashes. This caused problems with his vision as well as red, uncomfortable eyes. He underwent an upper eyelid blepharoplasty and entropion repair to restore his eyes to a more normal position to his eyes. He was a professional driver, and was very grateful for his result.
