This patient was looking for some change to her facial appearance as she had tired of her jowls, cheek hollows, and upper neck wrinkles. She was making a move and job change, and was ready to undergo surgery, but wanted to have a quick recovery because of all the changes in her life. She has been extremely pleased with her facelift results and feels she still looks natural but refreshed. Healing from a mini facelift is about 7-10 days and then the sutures are removed and all normal activities may be resumed. Depending upon how one wears their hair, many won’t even know you had surgery unless you pull your hair back and show the incisions, which can take a few months to blend in. Makeup may be applied over the incisions to hide them once the sutures are removed. Many patients, including this one, benefit from facial volumizing dermal fillers to compliment their surgical result. Dr. Burroughs most commonly performs these very popular surgeries in his office.
