Dr. John Burroughs is an oculofacial plastic surgeon. His most common surgeries are for cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid concerns. This patient had droopy upper eyelids known as blepharoptosis and fatty/puffy lower eyelids. She underwent an upper blepharoplasty and ptosis repair and an internal lower eyelid fat blepharoplasty to debulk and smooth her lower eyelid profile. She was very pleased with her results.
Overtime her upper eyelids will come down a little, so a slight over correction with upper ptosis repairs can be helpful. Her drooping was significant enough that her insurance covered the ptosis repairs as it was interfering with her driving and reading. She was very pleased with the cosmetic upper eyelid blepharoplasty to remove some excess skin and the lower eyelid blepharoplasty. She felt she looked more energetic and less sleepy to others. Her before picture on the left was as much as she could open her eyes. Are you tired of droopy or baggy eyelids? Call (719) 749-3606 for a consultation to see what your options are.
