Dr. John Burroughs is an oculofacial plastic surgeon practicing in Colorado Springs, CO. One of his most popular surgeries is the “mini-facelift.” This surgery is popular because the downtime and surgical discomfort is very minimal. Most patients are up and about within a day or so, and depending upon their hair style, the stitches may not be noticeable to anyone. Bruising for most patients is almost non-existent, but if dermal fillers are placed this can cause some more visible bruising. He does advise against the “mini-facelift” procedure if neck fat is the main complaint or if the tissues are too heavy and thick to improve by the mini-lift technique.
